Subscriber terms
1. The service
CrewQuote Permit Leads is a weekly email digest of building-permit project records for one trade and one territory in the City of Toronto, with the same digests kept in a members area. Digests are sent on Mondays. The subscription is for the subscribing business's own use.
2. Where the data comes from, and the licence
The records come from the City of Toronto Open Data portal (the City's public building-permit datasets). Contains information licensed under the Open Government Licence - Toronto (https://open.toronto.ca/open-data-licence/). CrewQuote selects, groups, and labels the records; the underlying records are shown as published by the City.
3. The data is provided as-is
The source data is licensed as-is, and CrewQuote provides it the same way. CrewQuote does not warrant that the records are accurate, complete, or current beyond the source data's own refresh. The City refreshes the source data daily; any digest reflects the data as it stood at the pull used to build that digest. If the City changes or withdraws the data or its licence, CrewQuote may pause or change the service and will say so in the digest itself.
4. What the data is, and what it is not
The records are project records: addresses, permit types, work descriptions, and dates, as published. They are not people. The records contain no phone numbers, no email addresses, and no homeowner contact information, and CrewQuote does not add contact information from any other source.
Where a digest labels a record "no contractor named on the permit record", that label states one fact about the record: the permit record names no contractor. It does not state that a job is unclaimed, available, unawarded, or without a contractor in fact.
Where a record shows a dollar figure, it is the estimate declared on the permit record, as published. It is not a quote, a valuation, or a statement of what a job costs or will cost.
5. Plans, billing, and cancelling
The standard plan is $149 CAD per month for one trade and one territory. Standard territories are shared: CrewQuote may sell the same trade and territory to other subscribers. An exclusive area lock, when offered, is a separate plan at $1,000 CAD per month; until it is offered for purchase, no exclusivity is provided or implied by any plan.
Subscriptions are month to month, billed in advance through Stripe. You can cancel anytime from the members area or the Stripe billing portal. On cancellation, digests continue to the end of the month already paid for, and billing stops after that. Fees for a month already started are not refunded except where the law requires it. If CrewQuote fails to deliver the digests for a paid period, you will receive a pro-rated refund or credit for the undelivered part of that period.
6. Email and your information
Digests and service messages are sent to the email you subscribe with. Sender identification: CrewQuote Permit Leads, 300 Sheppard Ave W, Unit 101-79, Toronto, ON M2N 1N5. Every marketing email (as distinct from the digests and service messages you subscribed for) is sent only with your separate, optional consent and carries a working unsubscribe link. Cancelling a subscription ends marketing sends to that list as well.
7. Acceptable use
Use the digests for your own business. Do not resell, republish, or redistribute the digests or the sample as a competing data product. The underlying public records remain available from the City under their licence.
8. Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that affects your subscription, CrewQuote will tell you by email before the change applies to your next billing month.
